Kago Bulayani is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA-UK), currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Verbosec. With a solid background in financial strategy, data analytics, and operational risk management, Kago plays a vital role in driving the financial performance and long-term sustainability of Verbosec.
Before being appointed CFO, Kago served as Finance Manager at Verbosec, where he helped establish foundational financial systems, streamlined reporting, and aligned budgeting with the company’s broader strategic goals. His financial stewardship supported Verbosec’s evolution into one of Botswana’s most innovative technology firms.
Prior to joining Verbosec, Kago worked at Grant Thornton, where he served clients across diverse sectors including insurance, asset management, broadcasting, tourism, and regulatory bodies. His work there built his expertise in financial auditing, statutory compliance, and strategic advisory.
Kago also held the position of Finance Controller at Mediland Health Care Distributors, where he led the finance function, managed working capital, implemented analytics-driven decision-making, and supported investor relations.
