Randall Newman is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Verbosec, a technology company he launched in January 2019 alongside his twin brother, Henry Newman. Over the course of his entrepreneurial career, Randall has led or overseen the development of multiple software platforms and AI solutions, including Nexus AI, a fast-growing all-in-one artificial intelligence platform. Under his leadership, Verbosec has evolved into one of Botswana’s most innovative digital solution providers, with a focus on bridging the digital divide through impactful and accessible technologies.
Randall began his career in digital innovation with a strong interest in software development and business strategy, blending technical insights with entrepreneurial drive. His early work in consulting and technology solutions for organizations such as Westlife Insurance, Debswana, Storkfort Health, Pelican Moving Company, Botswana Government, Acute Global and many other companies laid the groundwork for his broader mission: using homegrown tech to empower African enterprises. His ability to translate complex challenges into scalable digital solutions has positioned Verbosec as a trusted partner to both startups and corporations.
Randall holds a BA (Hons) in Entrepreneurship and Business Leadership from Sheffield Hallam University, in partnership with Botswana Accountancy College. A firm believer in the power of technology to drive development, he continues to advocate for Botswana’s inclusion in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, often speaking publicly about the role of AI, digital infrastructure, and entrepreneurship in Africa’s future.
